STACK is a Silver-level Veteran Friendly Employer and home to Michigan's first GI Bill®-approved cybersecurity apprenticeship. Your service translates here.
We hire veterans because of what they bring on day one: the ability to operate under pressure, adapt to changing conditions, follow a process without cutting corners, and put the mission first. Those qualities don't come from certifications. They come from service. And they're exactly what this field demands.

Silver-level Veteran Friendly Employer as designated by the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency (MVAA).

GI Bill® approved for our Cyber Defense Incident Responder apprenticeship, effective January 13, 2025.

Michigan's first registered cybersecurity apprenticeship program, approved by the U.S. Department of Labor.
Whether you're just separating or years out of the military and looking for a career change, we've built a path that meets you where you are. STACK is a Silver-level Veteran Friendly Employer as recognized by the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency, home to Michigan's first registered cybersecurity apprenticeship program approved by the U.S. Department of Labor, and GI Bill® approved, so you can earn a wage, build real skills, and use the education benefits you've already earned.
Cybersecurity isn't about knowing the most tools. It's about thinking clearly, executing reliably, and keeping your head when something goes wrong. Veterans already operate that way. The technical knowledge builds quickly. The mindset takes years to develop.
When a client is under attack, the job is to stop it. That single-objective clarity is something veterans understand by instinct.
Our team is small, collaborative, and accountable to each other. Veterans don't need to be taught how to show up for the person next to them.
Incident response requires steady thinking when the stakes are high. That's not a new environment for you.
Thinking about access, risk, and threat isn't a new concept. It's how you were already trained to operate.
The threat landscape changes constantly. Veterans don't freeze when conditions shift. They adjust and execute.
Cybersecurity runs on consistent, documented process. Veterans don't cut corners, and that matters more than most people realize.
"Military veterans possess the discipline, technical aptitude, and security clearances that make them ideal candidates for cybersecurity careers. By accepting GI Bill® benefits, we're removing barriers and creating accessible pathways for veterans to transition their valuable skills into high-demand civilian careers." — Tracey Birkenhauer, Vice President, STACK Cybersecurity
